A price list for outbound parcels. Once a week we check what the booking systems behind Irish parcel services will actually charge to send a parcel from Ireland, hold the answers, and put them side by side so you can see the spread in one screen instead of across six tabs.

The last check held 3,767 prices across 30 destinations and 6 carriers. Every one of them came back from a real quote request, not a rate card we typed up.

We’re not a courier, a reseller or a broker. We take no payment, hold no bookings and touch no parcels, the booking completes on our partner’s secure site at the price shown. The site is the whole product, and it’s built in Dublin.

Prices should be visible before you commit

Nobody should have to half-fill a booking form on five different sites to find out what a 5 kg box to Berlin costs. The number exists; it should be on a page you can read in ten seconds, with the carrier and the transit time beside it.

Freshness beats size claims

A comparison is worth exactly the date on it. Rather than claim to compare everything, we say when we last looked and what came back, 3,767 prices, checked automatically, from the run that finished 2 hours ago.

Say plainly what we can’t do

The gaps are on the page rather than buried: what isn’t compared, why a price can differ at booking, and who to go to when something goes wrong with a parcel. A comparison site that hides its edges is just an ad.

The site is free to use and there’s no account. When you follow a book link and a booking goes through, we may earn a referral fee from that partner.

It costs you nothing. The price you pay is the price the partner’s own site quotes, the same one you’d get by going there directly, and the fee comes out of their end, not yours.

It doesn’t buy position either. The list is sorted by price, cheapest first, and the cheapest is the cheapest whoever it belongs to. No carrier or partner pays to appear, to rank higher, or to keep a rival out. That’s the entire business model, and if it ever changes this page changes with it.

Five commitments. They are the ones that would be quietly profitable to break, which is why they are written down where you can hold us to them.

Sell a position

No carrier or partner can pay to rank higher, to carry a badge, or to keep a rival off a page. There is nothing to buy, and the sort order is price.

Invent a price

Where the last check came back empty, the cell stays empty. We would rather show you a dash than a plausible number nobody can book.

Quote a figure we can’t stand over

Figures that aren’t ours, An Post’s counter rates or a customs threshold, are read off the source and dated on the page. If one can’t be confirmed, it gets dropped rather than estimated.

Claim to be the cheapest

We sort cheapest first, which is a verifiable order, rather than claiming to be the cheapest, which would be a claim about markets we don’t survey in full.

Parcels coming into Ireland

Every price here is for a parcel leaving Ireland, because that’s the question the weekly check asks. Inbound is a separate set of quotes and we’d rather add it properly than approximate it.

An Post’s own counter prices

Their site blocks automated price checks, so we hold none of their counter rates. You’ll still see An Post services where partners resell them, and for small light items it’s worth checking An Post directly yourself.

Multi-parcel and pallets

One parcel per quote, up to 30 kg. Past that it’s freight, priced case by case, and a grid would only mislead you.
