Every figure about our own prices is computed from the weekly check at the moment the page is built, never typed in. So a guide cannot quietly go stale while claiming a price it no longer holds, and where the last check returned nothing you get a blank rather than a plausible-looking guess.
Figures that are not ours, An Post’s counter rates and the UK customs thresholds, are read off the source, dated on the page, and dropped rather than estimated when they cannot be confirmed. Where our own data looks wrong, the guide says so instead of smoothing it over.
