DPD Ireland with Shopify: order imports, labels and tracking

Choose your connection around the work you need it to handle: importing orders, producing labels or returning tracking to Shopify. DPD Ireland describes its portal’s import and label tools. WebShopAssist describes contract billing, tracking updates and country-specific configuration.

According to WebShopAssist, DPD integration options differ by country because the APIs differ. Use its DPD Ireland configuration when preparing your Irish store’s connection.

DPD Ireland gives you a choice between linking your Shopify account and uploading orders by CSV. Choose the Shopify link if you want to use the advertised account connection. Choose CSV if you intend to supply an order file to the portal.

For the Shopify route, start with the portal’s account-linking option. For the CSV route, prepare the orders you intend to upload in a CSV file.

DPD Ireland also advertises automatic upload tools for producing labels.

WebShopAssist says shipping through its DPD app is charged directly by DPD under your own contract. Have that contract available when working out your shipping budget. Confirm your account rates and collection terms with DPD before using the connection.

Its Ireland options cover the collection address, customer contact details and the payer for export duties and taxes.

1. Enter the address from which DPD will collect your parcels in the Ireland configuration.
2. Choose whether to include the customer’s phone number for DPD notifications.
3. Choose whether to include the customer’s email address for DPD notifications.
4. For exports, select who pays duties and taxes.

WebShopAssist says its DPD app writes the tracking number to the Shopify order. Include that feature in your choice of connection if you need tracking recorded against orders in Shopify.

For customer messages, choose the contact fields in the Ireland settings. Include the phone number if you want to supply that contact detail to DPD for notifications. Include the email address if you want DPD to have an email contact for the customer.

DPD Ireland says Predict pre-delivery messaging and tracking are available for DPD Classic. Ask DPD whether DPD Classic and Predict are available for your account.

WebShopAssist’s collection field is the address from which DPD collects parcels.

For export orders, use the Ireland configuration’s duties and taxes option to select the payer.

DPD Ireland’s portal also advertises almost 600 Pickup shops in Ireland. Review the portal’s Pickup offering if parcel shops form part of the delivery options you want to explore.

For orders sent through WebShopAssist’s DPD connection, use the shipping charges in your own DPD contract when calculating costs. DPD bills those charges directly, according to WebShopAssist.

Among the prices PostCompare compares, DPD’s cheapest bookable price for a 2 kg parcel within Ireland was €10.77, with a delivery time of 1–2 days, in prices checked on 5 October 2026.

Use the quote tool to compare bookable prices for an individual parcel’s weight and destination. For shipping through your DPD contract, calculate your allowance using the account rate that applies to the order.

If you choose Intersoft’s integration, follow its published DPD Ireland onboarding route. Intersoft asks sellers to contact DPD Ireland to create an API account for that integration.

Intersoft says it sets up the DPD Ireland integration in sandbox and production.
