These guides are for shops that post with An Post a few parcels at a time: buying discounted labels online without a business account, printing them at home, getting tracking into Shopify and filling in customs details for Britain and further away. Each guide says what you need, how to set it up and what it costs, with the sources linked and our own prices beside them.
You can buy labels separately and enter tracking in Shopify, or use an external app to automate dispatch. Compare the account requirements, parcel limits and charges before choosing a workflow.
EirLink, EirPost, Shiptheory and ShippyPro document different An Post label workflows. Compare their account requirements, Shopify updates and listed charges before connecting your shop.
Historical launch reports describe online returns booking, printing options and UK returns tracking. Use those details to plan your shop’s instructions, with current returns terms still unresolved.
Set delivery charges around your products, packaging and destinations. Shopify supports fixed charges and live rates, with plan requirements for third-party carrier-calculated shipping.
EirPost charges for postage from a prepaid balance and offers paid plans. Its public pages list discounted and retail label rates, non-refundable top-ups and charges for parcels billed at a heavier weight.
A low label price can come with a monthly fee or a limited discounted allowance. Calculate the cost of the same packed orders under each rate before choosing how to post them.
Revenue says goods sent outside the EU, including Great Britain, require a customs declaration. Prepare your item data, choose a label workflow and select Northern Ireland for orders going there.
For an An Post label bought outside Shopify Shipping, add its tracking number in Shopify’s admin and choose whether to send a shipping confirmation email. Recognising An Post does not itself mean Shopify automatically updates shipment status.
An Post launched Click & Post for buying postage and booking returns online. For a small seller, the reported workflow covers home printing, post office printing and parcel drop-off.
Click & Post supports home printing and post office printing from a confirmation code. For shop orders, compare CSV imports, label batches, account requirements and software charges.
Occasional sellers have Click & Post labels, reported prepaid business labels and a published bulk-buying option to consider. The reported account threshold differs from An Post’s promotional wording.
