GLS Ireland with Shopify: printing labels and returning tracking

Choose your connection around the work you want to handle from your Shopify store. For labels and tracking returned to Shopify, Shipmate explicitly names GLS Ireland. AfterShip instructs sellers following its GLS Ireland setup guide to register for a GLS Ireland shipper account. It says GLS Ireland supplies a username and password for sandbox and production API access.

If your dispatch plan depends on collections or a volume commitment, ask GLS Ireland for the account terms before committing.

Shipmate says its GLS Ireland connection supports bulk label printing. If you prepare several orders together, include a batch of orders in your setup check. Check that each printed label matches the parcel you intend to dispatch before handing it over.

Shipmate also says routing rules can choose the service. Write down the service you expect for the orders you use in your check, then compare that with the rule’s selection.

Shipmate says it pushes GLS Ireland tracking data back to Shopify. Check the corresponding Shopify order after processing the parcel through the connection.

According to GLS Ireland, FlexDeliveryService emails recipients about an upcoming parcel delivery and its estimated time frame. Recipients can choose delivery options through a link in the email.

Describe the time frame as an estimate in your customer information. If a recipient wants to choose a delivery option, direct them to the link in their GLS email.

GLS Ireland says parcels can be handed over at ParcelShops or processed online with GLS-One. It also describes parcel delivery solutions for relatively small parcel volumes.

If you plan to hand over parcels yourself, include the ParcelShop visit in your dispatch work. Allow for preparing the parcels before taking them to the handover point.
